FMUMC's study groups include classes of varying duration (short, medium and long-term) held at the church as well as in-home groups, which are on-going study groups that consist of approximately seven couples and meet bi-montly in each others' homes.  This page describes the church-based study groups; you can also refer to the in-home groups page.

We offer weekly and short-term studies throughout the year on topics ranging from Bible studies to parenting and the Methodist church. It's a good way to be in the Word and make friends in a small group. Weekly studies include:

  • Mom to Mom (M2M), which meets Monday mornings at 9 in room C6. This is a study and support group for young mothers. Contact: Liza Dull (972) 410-2999.
  • Pastors' Bible Study, which meets Thursday mornings at 9 to study the scripture used for the following Sunday's sermon. This is a fun group! Just show up; no prior study is needed. Contact John Johnson.
  • Men's Bible Study meets Sunday nights at 6 in room C4 to study relevant Biblical material and encourage friendships with other men of the faith. Contact: Bryan Hall (972) 355-2827 or Jeff Harshfield (817) 430-9375.
  • Lord, Change My Attitude meets Monday mornings at 10:30 in room C12.  The current study is held weekly through March 15.  Contact Kellie Sanford (972-355-2711 ext.104).

To learn more about (or register for) short-term studies, contact Audrey Riegling 972-966-0833.

The Disciple Bible Study Series can deepen faith through in-depth study of God's Word and can create opportunities for fellowship in the small group setting by meeting weekly to study, reflect, pray, and grow together.

  • "Disciple 1" provides an overview of the entire Bible and is a prerequisite to any of the subsequent studies.
  • The next three studies, or levels of DISCIPLE, deal witih specific books of the Bible in more detail.
  • Subsequent studies include "Christian Believer" and "Jesus and the Gospels."

You'll  find it rewarding to be a part of these 30-34 week studies! To register or learn more, contact Thom Reigling (972-966-0833).
