Purchase SCRIP Cards to Help Your Church

Posted By: Dean Lampman on 12/3/2009

Get your SCRIP cards every Sunday in the foyer or fill out an order form and turn it in to the office. Keep your money working for your church. Here's a story of how you can support your church:

Today started out great!  I met some friends at Starbucks (.84 ) to catch up.  I then jumped back in my car and began my errands:  filled my tank with gas at Speedway ( 1.28);  stopped by Lowe's (6.00) to pick up some gardening and home supplies; and picked up groceries at Kroger (4.80) and Sprouts (3.30).
I sat down at my desk to write out this month's cards.  I sent a birthday card to my nephew and enclosed a $25 gift card for one of his favorite stores, LL Bean (3.75) and sent a dear friend who has been feeling down a letter and gift card for Bath & Body Works (3.25) so she can treat herself to some soothing pampering.  I then signed on to my computer and went to Office Max (2.40) to order some office supplies I needed.
Denny and I decided to make it a date night.  We left a Papa John's (1.60) gift card for the boys to use and headed off to see a movie at AMC (2.24) after a delicious dinner at Macaroni Grill (5.50).  To top off the evening we stopped and had some ice cream at Baskin Robbins (.72).

WOW ! IN TOTAL, I CONTRIBUTED $35.68 TO OUR CHURCH JUST BY GOING ABOUT MY REGULAR LIFE.

Scrip cards are perfect to use to buy gifts for family and friends. They get to pick out something they want and I can put more money toward the gift than the post office.  Oh, and along with family I better not forget my baby sitter, hairdresser, lawn care guy.

AGAIN ... GET YOUR SCRIPS CARDS EVERY SUNDAY IN THE FOYER OR FILL OUT AN ORDER FORM AND TURN IT IN TO THE OFFICE.  Keep your money working for your church.
