Back to School Project

Designed to assist single parents and working couples with income below the annual poverty level, the Christian Community Action Back-to-School donation drive helps eligible pre-K through 12th grade children with a back-pack, books, some clothing items and a new pair of shoes. The average cost per student to provide all of these necessities is approximately $135. FMUMC assists in this annual drive in August and last year contributed $7,128.

You can help by making your generous check payable to “Flower Mound UMC” and noting in the lower left corner, “CCA Back-to-School Program”. The composite church check will be delivered to CCA on Monday, August 9th. This is a truly worthy mission goal on a local basis, and only you can help make this a successful FMUMC effort. Let’s do it!!

“Do good...be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share...so that [you] may take hold of life that really is life…”
1 Timothy 6:18-19 (NRSV)

Thank you,
Ed Andrews.
